Recorded in my friend's rustic lodge in early spring of 2013, in the forests outside Berkeley Springs, West Virginia. I secluded myself from the outside world for a few days to cleanse physically/spiritually/emotionally, connect more deeply with nature, and to record these tracks. It was a great few days of shifts and insights. I spent a lot of time in meditation, drinking tea, journaling, drawing, creating field recordings, and taking pictures of nature.

I was also in the midst of facilitating a lot of deep inner work with young adults prior to this recording. This work consisted of rites of passage, journeys, meditations, nature immersion, sweat lodges, and much more. Through facilitation it of course allowed me to see where my own work was and to process a lot.

The album artwork is created from a photo I took from the forest surrounding the lodge.
